<p>weight loss is the decrease of bodily fluids, fat, lean mass and adipose tissues leading to a loss of body weight. Appetite is a desire to eat and drink for pleasure. It is significantly different from hunger, because hunger is only felt when your body does not have enough reserves to sustain itself and as a result calls<span id="more-18"></span> for nourishment.<br />
Appetite is usually mistaken for hunger, but they are two different things with different factors. Hunger is a physical sign that your body needs nourishment and it would prove unhealthy to try to fight it. Appetite, though, is mainly triggered by emotional factors and doesn&#8217;t respond to any physiological need.<br />
Indeed, stimulating the mouth is a source of comfort and pleasure, which is why some people enjoy chewing gum for example. Similarly, this is why some people enjoy having a cigarette in their mouths, or why they can have the impression of being hungry without actually needing to eat.<br />
This comfort and pleasure might be sought after unconsciously by your mind when facing a stressful situation, which is why stress and anxiety can frequently cause the desire to eat. Our mind also often unconsciously creates associations between two actions, so that each time you perform any of these actions your mind creates the desire to perform the other simultaneously. <p>Using A Weight Loss Hypnosis Cd</p>
<p>One of the easiest ways of using weight loss for hypnosis is to use a CD or MP3 file.</p>
<p>You can use the audio track at almost any time, although naturally you shouldn&#8217;t play a hypnosis track while you are driving or doing another activity that requires your full concentration.</p>
<p>So it really is a case of sit back, put on your<span id="more-17"></span> headphones, relax and listen to the weight loss hypnosis session.</p>
<p>You may be wondering what you will experience with a weight loss hypnosis session.</p>
<p>Firstly, you&#8217;ll find yourself in a greatly relaxed state. This alone can help as we often eat more when we are stressed or otherwise not relaxed.</p>
<p>Then you&#8217;ll find the hypnotist placing you deeper and deeper into a hypnotic state. Sometimes this means that you won&#8217;t consciously remember much of what you have been told during the hypnosis track. Quite often people think that they have only been hypnotized for a few minutes, if at all, when in reality the session has lasted anywhere between 15 and 60 minutes.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re pushed for time, I recommend that you use a downloadable hypnosis track as these usually only run for about 15 minutes.</p>
<p>For a longer session, choose one of the many weight loss hypnosis cds that are on the market.</p>
<p>To get the full benefit from hypnosis weight loss, you need to listen to the CD or MP3 more than once. A good pattern would be to listen to it every day for the first couple of weeks and then gradually drop down your usage, starting with every couple of days and slowly down to once a week or even as infrequently as once a month.</p>
<p>Gradually your mind will start to take on board the suggestions that are contained in the hypnosis weight loss CD. You may find yourself leaving food on the plate instead of wolfing it down and going back for more. Or you could find yourself turning down the &#8220;do you want to go large&#8221; question. Yes, even that will help in your weight loss quest and hypnosis will almost certainly help you move in this direction. Of course, you could go further and not order the sugar laden cola drink. That, together with cutting down on the full-fat milk coffees, will help your weight loss program as well.</p>
<p>Whatever you do when you use a weight loss hypnosis cd, don&#8217;t just play it once (or worse still, leave it in the shrink wrap). Commit to playing it a nu<br />

<p>Hypnosis is a complete state of material, mental and emotional rest. Hypnosis opens the entrance to the sub-conscious mind. Hypnotherapy is the process of imprinting your unconscious mind with suggestions for better lifestyle changes. During hypnotherapy, your mind is more amenable to suggestions and learning, so you can alter behavior, attitudes or habits more briskly. Hypnotherapy is a safe, methodical methodology to self-enhancement and is often a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is a deep state of rest. If you&#8217;ve tried contemplation or yoga, you could have practiced something like it, as these can induce a mild hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is the process which takes you into this relaxed state and combines it with therapy to help you let go of harmful feelings and feelings, and substitute them with optimistic ones. There are two types of hypnotherapy: interactive, where the client and therapist continue a continual dialogue; and direct suggestion, where the therapist operates from a script used for a precise goal such as weight loss or giving up smoking. Interactive hypnotherapy tends to exhibit quicker, more dramatic results.</p>
<p>The therapist uses a form of vocabulary which encourages the mind to relax, giving you access to your unconscious and allowing you to propose things to it. <p>
If you are one of the many millions of people who struggle to maintain the proper weight, you are probably aware of the generally accepted groundrules of weight management.</p>
<p>The rules say that you need just two things to keep to the correct weight: proper diet and exercise.  These two factors are expounded in books and programs worldwide that are the center of a billion-dollar<span id="more-12"></span> business.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, that business is failing, at least in having an effect, if not in making money for its principals.  The proportion of the population who are overweight, and in fact obese, is growing at an alarming rate.</p>
<p>And it&#8217;s not just the United States, by the way.  Obesity worldwide is such a concern that the World Health Organization has coined a new word &#8220;Globesity&#8221; to describe what they see as a global problem.</p>
<p>For many of us, &#8220;proper diet and exercise&#8221; is not a simple or an easy answer &#8211; instead, it represents a total and challenging lifestyle change.  Resistance to the required change in personal eating and exercise habits and practices is what dooms many individual attempts to lose weight.</p>
<p>In other words, proper diet and exercise are only half of what is required to maintain a healthy weight &#8211; the physical half.  It&#8217;s the other half: the mental and emotional challenges, resistance to change, and difficulty in breaking habits and routines, which keep us overweight.</p>
<p>And, seeing that &#8220;proper diet and exercise&#8221; is fairly simple in concept, and it&#8217;s the emotional and habit issues that are the sticking point, it&#8217;s therefore those latter issues that we should be focussing on.  This is where hypnosis can help.</p>
<p>Let me comment, by the way, that all this is the reason why programs like Jenny Craig, Weightwatchers, and even Overeaters Anonymous are so effective.  Using meetings and counselors to allow you to interact with others, they address your emotional needs as much as the physical aspects of diet.  However, the use of hypnosis can be a lot cheaper, faster, and easier.</p>
<p>For example, most of us have become accustomed (conditioned) to eating particular types and amounts of food on a particular schedule.  It&#8217;s not easy to eat less, or differently.  Our tummies are used to feeling full, our brains are conditioned to eat at particular times, and we are used to particular foods, often those which are &#8220;not good&#8221; for us.</p>
<p>Exercise is also not that easy to insert into one&#8217;s daily routine.  It seems straightforward but humans are strongly resistant to it.  Plus, in today&#8217;s society, who has the time?</p>
<p>This is where hypnotic techniques can help. Hypnotherapy is about habit reconditioning and behavior modification.  A course of hypnotherapy can help you modify your existing behaviors and habit patterns (in other words, the mental and emotional challenges) so that you more easily adjust to the new lifestyle required to achieve the two physical cornerstones of weight management &#8211; diet and exercise.</p>
<p>But, hypnosis or not, you still have to embrace the diet and exercise part. Hypnosis helps you do this.</p>
<p>Now, here is the good news &#8211; a good hypnotherapy program can greatly influence good weight management behavior and make a substantial difference in the adjustments required to a new diet and exercise regime.</p>
<p>First, hypnosis can teach you relaxation.  Many of the triggers that cause people to overeat are caused by stress-related factors.  The kind of relaxation learned during hypnosis techniques can greatly reduce stress, making the adjustment to new habits much easier.</p>
<p>Next, a good hypnotherapist will work with you to identify triggers.  These are that are sabotaging good diet and exercise habits. </p>
<p>You may be one of those people who find yourself standing looking inside the fridge, just looking for something to eat.  Your hypnotherapist will help you change those behaviors so that you only snack at fixed times, and then you only eat something good for you, such as a protein snack to prevent hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar.</p>
<p>We describe certain foods as comfort foods &#8211; food which is tasty to eat and filling, and generally bad for you.  For some people, their entire diet is comfort food.  Maybe their parents fed them comfort food at a young age when they were upset. </p>
<p>Whatever the reason, those bad eating habits are now engrained. Your hypnotherapist can give you suggestions to change your automatic responses when you have an upset or a &#8220;stress moment&#8221;.</p>
<p>In fact, hypnosis can help alleviate the pangs or cravings that we tend to feel even when we are not hungry, and do not need nourishment.  Often we eat because we are just used to eating at a certain time, or because our tummies are used to feeling full.</p>
<p>The problem with this is that over the years, we need to eat more and more to maintain that &#8220;full&#8221; feeling.  Hypnosis can reverse this behavior to allow you to let go of the hunger pangs at all the wrong times.</p>
<p>Your hypnotherapist can also help you to change your mental patterns so that you feel better about yourself.  Self-image is a big issue when it comes to weight and dieting issues.</p>
<p>Dieting is not difficult, as it happens.  There is a huge variety of different options, including for those who want bigger portions, those who like particular foods, and so forth.  It&#8217;s making the adjustment to stick to a plan that makes the difference, and that&#8217;s the key to success.</p>
<p>So, what&#8217;s the game plan?  First, when entering into any form of diet, exercise, or other lifestyle change, it&#8217;s always a good idea to visit your doctor and get his advice on what to do and the limits. For example, if you have not exercised forever and you are 50 pounds overweight, it&#8217;s not a good idea to suddenly try running 3 miles a day.  You need to start slowly.  So, get a diet and exercise plan from your doctor.</p>
<p>Next, understand that you have to take it slowly.  Weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week is a standard goal, and this requires both diet and exercise.  You can probably lose more in the short term by taking more extreme measures like starvation dieting.  However, this will not last.</p>
<p>Second, understand that even with hypnosis, you are going to have to exert a little bit of will power.  Hypnosis will help you greatly by making you aware of the urges and reframing your automatic responses. However, at some point you are going to have to just say &#8220;no&#8221;.  It&#8217;s at this point that a hypnotic refresher, such as an MP3 recording, will be very effective.</p>
<p>There are many &#8220;Hypnosis weight loss&#8221; programs and CDs available.  The best kind of program, however, is one which offers personalized individual sessions, backed up by recordings to be listened to between the sessions. <p>In reality, hypnosis can only run the range from trouble-free relaxation condition to proper initiation managed by a professional hypnotists. Hence, it should not be considered paranormal and magical in its upshots. </p>
<p>Boiled down, people should be more aware that hypnosis is not a sole effective process in losing weight. It is more of a facilitator of various treatment techniques. </p>
<p>Therefore, it should be combined with other weight loss management program to be effective in making people lose excess weight. In this manner, people will be able to lose more weight with a more relaxed and refreshed state of mind. </p>

<p>Many times when learning hypnosis, a student is first directed to try self-hypnosis, this gives them time to learn while practising on their own without any outside pressure. This can help to ease any tension or relieve any stress you may have about trying these techniques for the first time.</p>
<p>Once you learn these techniques they can become a daily activity that can<span id="more-10"></span> help you relieve the stress of your day to day activities, handle pressure at work and even help you deal with personal relationships.</p>
<p>A Professional Hypnotist teaching you the required techniques can make the whole process sound very easy, and for some of us it can be that way, but finding a quiet place where you can totally relax and shut yourself away from the rest of the world for a few minutes can sometimes be a lot harder than it sounds.</p>
<p>Sometimes, just being still and quiet is something we have to learn, so you need to find a quiet room, maybe at night when everyone is asleep, or maybe a part of the house that is away from the noise, I have even sat reclined in my car in a quiet street before.</p>
<p>You can also help to set the mood with some quiet relaxing music or Binaural Frequency Harmonics, dim the lights down, find a position that you can fully relax in without having to think about it, if music is too invasive play some sounds of nature or water sounds, these are a great relaxer.</p>
<p>Aromatherapy oils and certain other soothing smells can help you to relax, and a soft comfortable area with cushions or blankets can also help.</p>
<p>There are certain narratives that you can learn that will induce you into a hypnotic state, and help you relax mentally and spiritually. You can record your own, but if like me you are not keen on hearing your own voice it is better to get a CD or DVD with someone else&#8217;s voice instead, so you are not distracted.</p>
<p>I use self-hypnosis, and the results have been good, and even somewhat spectacular on occasions, hypnosis has definitely helped me in many areas of my life. One technique I would like to share with you that may sound crazy to a person not in a hypnotic state, but one that works for me is as follows:</p>
<p>I have taught myself to get rid of stressful thoughts like someone at work giving me a hard time, I just picture the person standing there moaning, and I take them from wherever I feel them and shrink them down very small, I then put them on my shoulder, and then down to the end of my thumb. I give them a ridiculous Mickey Mouse voice and ears, and while they are ranting on they just sit there so small and stupid that I do not care.</p>
<p>This may sound silly at first but try it, I do it in all sorts of situations and it lifts stress from me almost every time I do it.</p>

As a Christian hypnotherapist I believe it is important to know that Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state, commonly experienced on a daily basis when we lose awareness of surrounding distractions. We all enter the hypnotic state just before we fall asleep at night, and again just before awakening in the morning.</p>
<p>Other forms of hypnosis include daydreaming, becoming<span id="more-9"></span> engrossed in a book, movie, or sport. While in hypnosis, the subconscious mind will not allow a person to do or say anything against their moral or ethical beliefs. Hypnosis is neither a belief nor a religion. It is not even a matter of conviction. Used in therapy, it is simply another tool, further, hypnosis has no need to be defended. When properly used by a trained professional, it defends itself by the results obtained.</p>
<p>The good it does speaks on its behalf.   I wonder if God used hypnosis when He &#8220;&#8230;caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam&#8230;&#8221; (Genesis 2: 21). Was formal hypnosis used in Bible? Were hypnotic techniques used? Paul speaks of being in a trance [Acts 22:17) and Peter "fell into trance" [Acts 10:1-48] Paul gazed into his eyes and he was healed [Acts 14:9-10) Something else is evident. Not for his own benefit, but rather for the sake of those He helped, Jesus very frequently used the power of suggestion in his ministry. In fact in all his parables He suggests some specific truth regarding his Kingdom. He said: &#8220;The kingdom of heaven is like unto&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>We see what may be considered the classical example of Jesus using the power of suggestion in His great parable of The Good Samaritan. He ends the incident by telling the lawyer: &#8220;&#8230;go, do likewise.&#8221; That lawyer nor any of those with him or anyone present was hypnotized by Jesus. Yet, they received the same suggestion. What they did need but had failed to recognize was the one thing Jesus suggested: &#8220;Show mercy to him who is in need!&#8221; &#8220;Be his neighbor!&#8221; In all his teaching, Jesus often used metaphors. His message of the passing of a camel through a needle&#8217;s eye can readily be understood as teaching about values and priorities. How can anyone miss the message conveyed in Jesus&#8217; statement about faith enabling the individual to cause mountains to be removed!</p>
<p>A powerful suggestion this is of self-confidence based not on self-sufficiency, but on divine help. Besides Jesus&#8217; divine power working, in many of his signs and wonders we can see the power of the suggestions. Trained in Clinical Hypnosis by instructors who teach the Ericksonian Approach, I think it is reasonable for me to submit these views.</p>
<p>Helping people meet their needs, solve their problems or find a feasible way to cope with them is the goal of therapy. Hypnosis is merely one more means of helping the client reach his/her goals. I have the privilege of helping my subjects understand that hypnosis will help them work toward their good. People with whom I have worked have corrected previous misconceptions and have actually been complementary about hypnosis. Many have remarked that it helped them significantly and some have simply stated that &#8220;It is just simply relaxing and wonderful&#8221;</p>
<p>Hypnosis is a great and wonderful tool and more professionals should use it. CEO&#8217;s use it, pro athletes use it and so do the most successful people in all areas of life. It is without doubt the most beneficial, powerful and result oriented tool available to all of us, yet most people never even know it. Better yet, after you master it, it costs nothing, is easy to do and can be utilized immediately. Many practitioners in the various areas of health care have incorporated it in their practice. More and more, regardless of their specialties, medical doctors use hypnosis to better treat their patients. Many of them are now referring their patients to hypnotherapists. For a long time most scientists opposed the use of hypnosis in therapy. They considered it as of little or no value. Many discarded it as &#8220;hocus pocus&#8221;. Nevertheless, thanks to the constant, indefatigable efforts of those who see its true value, Hypnotherapy is now recognized as a true science in the medical field.  Surely this should help the general public to have a better view about it.</p>
<p>All things can be used for good or evil. Even religion. Wars have been fought and are still being fought in the name of religion. There is nothing new under the sun and that includes &#8220;hypnosis&#8221;. Godly people and prophets went into &#8220;trances&#8221; to receive revelation from God. When you are trying to replace a bad habit with a good one, you are, in essence, renewing your mind.</p>

For weight loss CDs, a relaxing voice can program your mind to believe that food is merely fuel for your body alone, and once this has been played repeatedly and programmed into your mind, your cravings stop.
